Q: How do I get started?
A: Simply follow these easy steps:
- Register free, we charge no registration fee
- Bid and buy
- Arrange payment with the selling dealer
- Arrange collection with the selling dealer
- Collect
Q: Is there a buyer’s fee?
A: No. The bid you make and win is the price you pay.
Q: What happens if my bid is the highest but the reserve isn’t met?
A: If the reserve is not met, the dealer will be given the option to re-list the vehicle at the end of the auction.
Q: What do I do if I have forgotten my password?
A: Use the forgotten password facility, which is shown under the sign-in box. A new password will be provided automatically on receipt of your email.
Q: How can I pay?
A: You will have the selling dealers contact details at the end of the auction and you arrange method of payment directly with them.
Q: Can you deliver?
A: No, sorry, it’s collection only, and arrangements are made directly with the dealer.
Q: Where can I collect my car/LCV?
A: At the selling dealer’s premises. Details will be found on the e mail you receive as the winning bidder.
Q: Where do the cars/LCVs come from?
A: They are dealers’ part-exchanges.
Q: Do you sell cars/LCVs for the trade?
A: No.
Q: Can I view the cars/LCVs before bidding?
A: Unfortunately not. mytradeauction.com is online only.
Q: What do I do if I win an auction?
A: You will receive a purchase confirmation by email. Payment is required within 72 hours.
Q: How soon can I collect?
A: Once cleared funds are received by the selling dealer.
Q: What do I need when I’m picking up my car/LCV?
A: You will only require the winning confirmation sent to you via email.
Q: Are the cars/LCVs clear of finance?
A: This is something you will need to discuss with the selling dealer, before arranging payment and collection.
Q: What do I do if the car/LCV is not as described on collection?
A: You will need to discuss this with the selling dealer and make us aware via info@mytradeauction.com so that we can monitor this seller.
Q: What documents are provided with the car/LCV?
A: All documents that have been listed will be with the car/LCV at the point of collection.
Q: Do all cars/LCVs come with a V5?
A: If a V5 isn’t available, then the V5 should not be listed
Q: Do all cars/LCVs come with service book, hand book and spare key?
A: Only if listed.
